I will tell you that 1 could be equal to 2. Is it possible?
Ok here it goes.
let say x=y
then let’s multiply the equation by x so that this will become
x²=xy
after multiplying, add -y² to the equation so that it will become
x²-y²=xy-y²
then factor out the equation.
(x+y)(x-y)=(x-y)y
divide the whole equation by (x-y)
x+y=y
